Long time no see on this Maestro K podcast!!! We're back in 2011 with a brand new episode of pure jazz... Not the serious type of jazz, that jazz that is played while drinking beer, smoking and talking with friends! Enjoy these raw saxophone sounds and relaxed bass lines.... Tracklisting:

Africa is currently hosting the soccer world cup... As the famous vuvuzelas disturb any supporter in front of his TV. I'd like to provide you with a musical solution, an introduction to Africa's greatest musician (and also political activist): Nigeria's Fela Anikulapo Kuti. This mix contains some of Fela's major songs, never shorter than 12 minutes (!!) that will bring you 1 hour 45 minutes of the original Afrobeat music. 1 hour 45 minutes is exactely the length of a football game, half-time break included, so... please turn off the sound of your TV (and therefore the vuvuzelas), tune in to Maestro K, and enjoy the world cup games with the appropriate music! These last few months in France have been agitated by an awful and dangerous debate about defining (??) the french national identity. Please forget the frogs legs, the baguette, Edith Piaf or Alain Delon, time have changed in this country, hopefully... This mix is 100% french, and is exactely the opposite of what you might expect of french music: Modern, electronic, eclectic, sometimes in english and brings to your ears a positive power. Yes, time have changed... this is now part of our "Identité Nationale", so please enjoy!!! Maestro K. Tracklisting:

Here comes the Christmas mix named "3rd world party!", which , I hope, gives this part of the world a better image than what we usually get from our mass media. Don't expect any naive "made for western people" ethnic songs, but something quite different. This 48 minutes mix will introduce you to some rare indian funk & brass band, to the art of Haitian Kompa, to ghanaian hard funkateers, to caribeean and beninese zouk... and much more!

Long time no see... We're back with a brand new eclectic mix with a strong acid jazz / abstract hip hop orientation but not only. Set the bass to the maximum, volume up, and (re)discover the original sound sampled in Busta Rhymes' Woo-hah, a hip-hop brass band, and a cool tune from my favorite brazilian city (until now): Olinda... and much more! So, please, enjoy!!! Maestro K. Tracklisting:
